Outline
Because thermistor is built into the servo motor of the α
i
series in place of a past
thermostat, "Motor temperature" information can be obtained by converting the
data of thermistor into temperature (°C)
The αi servo motor has two thermistors, for detecting the temperature of the
motor coil and for detecting the pulsecoder temperature. The motor overheat
alarm is generated when the temperature of the motor coil reaches 140°C or the
temperature of the PCB in the pulsecoder reaches 100°C.

The temperature of the αi servo motor coil is displayed. When it reaches
140°C, the motor overheat alarm occurs.
309 Pulsecoder temperature

The temperature of the PCB in the αi pulsecoder is displayed. When it reaches
100°C (about 85°C in an ambient temperature in the pulsecoder), the motor
overheat alarm is generated.
Note
1 The accuracy of temperature information has an error as follows.
50°C ~ 160°C ± 5°C
160°C ~ 180°C ± 10°C
2 The temperature where the over heat alarm is generated has an
error of ±5°C maximum.
