OPERATION

This mode is effective in the operation system made by the machine tool
builder. The upper key is effective. Please refer to the manual supplied by
machine tool builder for the using method.
NOTE
1 The ”mode” used by Handy Operator’s Panel is not same as
”mode” selected by machine operator’s panel ”AUTO, MDI,
EDIT”.
2 Fig 2.1.3 shows the standard key sheet (English key). In
case that the key sheet is different from this, please refer to
the manual supplied by machine tool builder.

M–OPE mode
The key that has two characters at the upper and lower sides of its keytop.
The upper character on the keytop is effective.

MDI mode
The key that have two characters at the upper and lower sides of its keytop ,
the lower character on the keytop is effective

M–OPE mode

2 RESET key
RESET
Press this key to reset the CNC, to cancel an alarm, etc.
3 Soft keys
F1 F5...
The soft keys have various functions, according to the Applications. The soft key
functions are displayed at the bottom of the HANDY OPERATOR’S Panel screen.

Press these keys to input alphabetic, numeric, and other characters.

M–OPE mode
Jog key: Refer to the manual supplied by the machine tool builder.
MDI mode
The alphabetic that is printed on the lower of the keytop is effective.
6 SHIFT key
SHIFT
Some keys have two characters on their keytop. Pressing the key,
switches the characters. Special character is displayed on the screen when a
character indicated at the bottom right corner on the keytop can be entered.

7 INPUT key
INPUT
When an address or a numerical key is pressed, the data is input to the buffer
and displays on the Handy Operator’s Panel screen. To copy the data in the key
input buffer to the offset register, etc., press this key, This key is equivalent
to the [input] key of the soft keys, and either can be pressed to produce the same
result.
