Number Name Explanation
14 Emergency stop button This button is pressed to change the emergency stop status.
When release the emergency stop state, turn the button to right direction.
15 Dead man’s switch This switch is effective when dead man’s switch enable switch is on.
During the switches of either left side or right side is pressed, emergency stop
status is released.
When set the switch free, it goes to the emergency stop state.
When this switch is not effective by Dead man’s switch enable switch, an
emergency stop state is released in spite of this switch’s state.
16 Dead man’s switch enable
ON: Dead man’s switch is effective.
OFF: Dead man’s switch is not effective.
LED01 – LED09 Refer to the manual supplied by the machine tool builder for the meaning of the
LED (M–OPE) This LED is turned on in M–OPE mode
LED (MDI) This LED is turned on in MDI mode
There are the following restricted items in Handy Operator’s Panel.
1 Japanese or Korean cannot be selected as the display language.
2 HELP function is not supported.
3 There are some unusable functions in the PMC screen. The following
list shows some functions that can not be used on the handy operator’s
1) Edit function (Editing function of ladder diagram, I/O unit
allocation, Message, Symbol, Title, etc.)
2) Ladder diagram display function
3) Trace function
4) The contents of memory
5) Function for displaying waveforms
6) Display and setting of system parameters
When the display link type touch panel is used, CNC parameters can be
set or the PMC ladder can be modified with virtual MDI. For details, see
Appendix I, “MAINTENANCE WITH DISPLAY LINK TYPED
TOUCH PANEL” in the MAINTENANCE MANUAL (B–63175EN).
