7. CONNECTION TO FA NETWORKS
The high speed serial bus (referred to as HSSB in the remainder of this
manual) enables the Power Mate i to be connected to an IBM personal
computer or compatible (referred to as the PC) or PANEL i via a optical
cable, allowing the transfer of large–volume data at high speed.
On the Power Mate i, the HSSB board must be mounted in an FA network
expansion slot. On the PC, the HSSB PC interface board must be
