1.1.3 Shield clamping
Signal wires generally need to be subjected to shield clamping. Effects of external noise can be
suppressed through correct shield clamping.
Strip off a part of the cable sheath so that the shield is exposed, and push it against the ground bar
with the clamp hardware. At this time, make sure that the ground bar and shield are in surface
contact with each other and that the contact area becomes maximum (see the figure below).
When using the multi-point grounding method, remove the paint of the joint portion between the
ground bar for shield clamping and the cabinet to keep surface contact.
