Item 6 CONNECTION TO FANUC I/O Link
Added the following description
Warning
There is a possibility the built-in I/O or the that I/O Link slave module will not operate normally
due to a failure of the CNC or built–in I/O or I/O Link slave module, or abnormally power supply
voltage. To prevent accidents even in this case, design the machine to operate safely by
making a safety circuit outside the I/O Link slave module.
Item 6.4.1 Outline
Deleted the following description
(10) The DO points of this built-in I/O module are designed to be turned off when a
system alarm occurs in the Power Mate and when the Power Mate power is
switched off.
Item 6.4.5 Detail of DO connection
Added the following description
DO signal reaction to a system alarm
There is a possibility that the Built-in I/O will not operate normally due to a failure of
CNC or I/O Link slave module, or abnormally power supply voltage. To prevent
accidents even in this case, design the machine to operate safely by making a safety
circuit outside the Built-in I/O.
The circuit of this Built-in I/O is designed so that all DO signals are turned off if a
system alarm is occurred in the Power Mate which controls the Built-in I/O, or if a
power of the Power Mate or the Built-in I/O is turned off. However, it cannot be
guaranteed that DO signals of the Built-in I/O will certainly be turned off. Therefore,
manage signals related to safety by making a safety circuit outside this Built-in I/O.
Item 6.6.1 General
Deleted the following description
If a system alarm occurs in the Power Mate when it is using this I/O card, or
an I/O Link communication alarm occurs between the Power Mate and this
I/O card, all the DO points of the I/O card are turned off. This is also true
when the power of the Power Mate or the I/O card is switched off.
