The XY plane is drawn be-
cause B– and C–axes are
specified and because rota-
tion about the B–axis, which is
on the Y–axis, does not cause
the tool to rotate about the Y–
axis at the tool tip. Suppose
that the Z–axis on this side of
the XY plane is positive.
In the figures above, a, b, and c represent the positions (angles) of the
A–axis, B–axis, and C–axis from the machine zero point; those values
present when the tool axis direction handle feed mode is set or a reset
occurs are used. To change the feed direction, reenter the tool axis
direction handle feed mode, or press the reset key.
For tool axis direction determination, the coordinates (rotation angles) of
rotary axes can be set using bits 3 and 4 (3D1X and 3D2X) of parameter
No. 7104, and parameter Nos. 7144 and 7145.
