4. DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS
195
Example: If parameter No. 8516 = 16 and parameter No. 8517 = 1000,
the relationships between the Y signal and the highspeed position
switch number are as follows:
Y1000#0 ––– first highspeed position switch signal
Y1000#1 ––– second highspeed position switch signal
::
Y1000#7 ––– sixteenth highspeed position switch signal
It is impossible, for example, to assign Y1000#0 to the sixteenth
highspeed position switch and to skip Y1000#1 to assign Y1000#2
to the second highspeed position switch.
(
) If a nonexistent signal address is specified, the highspeed position
switch function is disabled.
NOTE
1 When highspeed position switches are to be used for both
paths in Power Mate iD twopath control, change Y signal
output addresses for each path separately.
Example: If four highspeed position switches are used for
path 1, and other four highspeed position switches are
used for path 2
(Example of correct settings)
Parameters for path 1
Parameter No. 8516 = 4
Parameter No. 8516 = 1000 Bits 0 to 3 of
Y1000 are used.
Parameters for path 2
Parameter No. 8516 = 4
Parameter No. 8516 = 1001 Bits 0 to 3 of Y1001
are used.
(Example of incorrect settings)
The following settings are unusable.
Parameters for path 1
Parameter No. 8516 = 4
Parameter No. 8516 = 1000 Bits 0 to 3 of Y1000
are used.
Parameters for path 2
Parameter No. 8516 = 4
Parameter No. 8516 = 1000 <––Bits 4 to 7 of Y1000
are used.
2 Do not use any Y signal already used on the PMC ladder.
Otherwise, the machine may behave in an unexpected
manner.
3 When this parameter is set, the power must be turned off
before operation is continued.
