Additional Manual
1. Outline
Fanuc have developed new Display control card, on which new VGA chip is mounted, because the old
VGA chip mounted on the present Display control card will be ended. Since July 1998, this new Display
control card have been applied to FS16i/18i/21i. This new Display control card can be mounted on the
mother board as usual, because this card is the same shape as the old Display control card. But, this
Display control card has no compatibility with the old Display control card in terms of software. In
graphic performance, this new Display control card is equivalent to the old Display control card.
For maintenance the old Display control card can be ordered. In case of using this new Display control
card, Basic function, Graphic software, and System boot function must be changed.
