1. Outline
Conventionally, when safety speed over alarm (exceeding Dual Check Safety limiting spindle speed)
occurs, the excitation of the spindle motor becomes off immediately and the spindle rotates freely. It may
take much time for the spindle to come to a stop by friction.
In order to avoid such situation, a bit parameter is newly added to select the method to stop spindle
motor at safety speed over alarm (SP757, SP9069). This parameter enables to switch between
free-running stop (category 0 stop) and controlled stop (category 1 stop) at safety speed over alarm.
