About the application of IEC60825-1, Amendment 2:2001 of Laser C series
1. OUTLINE
The laser equipment (oscillator, processing machine, applied equipment) for Europe should
agree with the safety standard concerning the laser radiation, IEC60825-1, Amendment 2:2001
from January, 2004.
Therefore, FANUC changes the class of visible laser and the danger label for access panel
about our laser oscillator to conform to this Amendment from manufacturing in December, 2003.
2. OBJECT
For Europe of laser C1000-E, C2000-E, C4000-E, C5000-E, C6000-E
3. CONTENTS
3.1 Class indication label (Refer to Fig.1.)
- The class of visible laser is changed from 3A to 3R.
- The application standard is changed as follows.
“IEC60825-1:1993 + A2:2001”
3.2 Danger label for access panel (Refer to Fig.2 and Fig.3.)
- “Class 4” is added to this label.
4. APPLICATION
From FANUC manufacturing in December, 2003 of the following table
There is a charge for exchanging if you need to change the labels of the laser oscillator with old
labels.
