Compound Machining Function
TITLE
CUST.DRAW.NO.
2 Specification
2.1 Command mode
This function provides two modes, turning and milling modes.
With changing modes, both programming command systems, T-system and
M-system, are available.
See the following references for the details of programming commands.
• T-system programming commands
FANUC Series 16i-TA Operator’s manual (B-63004)
• M-system programming commands
FANUC Series 16i-MA Operator’s manual (B-63014)
The modes can be changed by mode selection M codes.
The turning mode selection M code changes the programming command
system from M-system to T-system, and the milling mode selection M code
changes it from T-system to M-system.
The modes can be changed with DI signal PTM(G0193#1) in addition to
mode selection M code by setting parameter EPM(No.13002#1) to 1.
• The mode selection M codes are specified by parameters(No.13020,13021).
• When one of the mode selection M codes is commanded, the code
signals(M00 – M31) and strobe signal(MF) of the miscellaneous function
are to be output.
• It is not valid to command the turning/milling mode selection M code in
turning/milling mode.
• The mode selection M codes must not be commanded with other commands
but alone in a program block.
• The mode selection M codes cannot be commanded in any called
subprogram or macro.
• The status of the mode (turning mode or milling mode) is output to DO
signal PRS(F0193#0) and is shown at the lower right on the CNC screen.
Note
• If mode selection M code is commanded in automatic operation, the
commanded mode such as turning mode and milling mode depends
on mode selection M code.
• Timing to be able to do the thing to switch the mode according to DI
signal is as follows.
Reset state (F000#7 OP=0) and Control axis is stopped
