1. Outline
This document describes about the parameter setting of AI contour control / AI-NANO
contour control, Feed-forward / Advanced feed-forward, and Positioning by optimal
acceleration for FANUC Series 16i /160i -LB. Also the limitation of maximum number of
simultaneously controlled axes for High-precision contour control by RISC is described.
2. Parameter setting information
FANUC Series 16i /160i -LB can be equipped with the axes that are controlled without
program command, such as the gap control axis or the mirror axis of optical path
compensation function. The following functions should not be used for these axes.
• AI contour control / AI-NANO contour control
• Feed-forward / Advanced feed-forward
• Positioning by optimal acceleration
• High-precision contour control by RISC
Please set under-mentioned parameters properly.
The parameters described in from item2.1 to item 2.3 are axis-type parameter. So, set the
parameters for the gap control axis and the mirror axis of optical path compensation
function. And set the parameter that is described in item2.4 to “2” as maximum number of
simultaneously controlled axes.
