In the high speed skip function of Series 30i/31i/32i, please pay attention to the
connection of the skip signal line. Because the contact state is different from Series
15i/16i/18i/21i/0i when the CNC recognizes the input of skip signal
.
Series 30i/31i/32i : The skip signal is assumed to be input when a contact is changed
from open to close.
Series 15i/16i/18i/21i/0i : The skip signal is assumed to be input when a contact is
changed from close to open.
The difference in the specification of the high speed skip signal between Series
30i/31i/32i and Series 15i/16i/18i/21i/0i
is as follows.
Case of Series 30i/31i/32i
The high-speed skip signal is assumed to be “1” when the input voltage is at a low
level and assumed to be “0” at a high level. That is, the skip signal is assumed to be
“1” in contact close state. Therefore the skip signal is assumed to be input when a
contact is changed from open to close.
Case of Series 15i/16i/18i/21i/0i
The high-speed skip signal is assumed to be “0” when the input voltage is at a low
level and assumed to be “1” at a high level. That is, the skip signal is assumed to be
“1” in contact open state. Therefore the skip signal is assumed to be input when a
contact is changed from close to open.
When the wiring that is designed for 15i/16i/18i/21i/0i is applied to 30i/31i/32i , the
modification of wiring is not necessary by setting the following parameter.
And instead of setting the following parameter there is another method to use the
former wiring. The setting of the detector side can select whether the contact state of
output signal is “a contact” or “b contact”. For details, see the manual of the detector.

0 : The signal is considered to be input at the rising edge(0→1).
1 : The signal is considered to be input at the falling edge(1→0).
