In the FOCAS1/Ethernet, there are the following limitations as compared to FOCAS1/HSSB. So,
be careful to them when using the FOCAS1/Ethernet.
1. In the FOCAS1/Ethernet, you cannot operate BOOT/IPL functions from PC side. In other
words, NCBOOT32.EXE, which is provided in FOCAS1/HSSB, cannot be used. When you
exchange the system software and backup/restore SRAM data, etc., you have to use the
following input devices.
1 LCD/MDI unit which is connected to CNC
or
2 The Intelligent Terminal Type 2 or the desktop PC which is connected via High
Speed Serial Bus
2. The library of FOCAS1/Ethernet cannot read or write the data of the LOADER CONTROL
BOARD (as the fifth path).
