Change in the name of Servo and Spindle Motors
The name of servo and spindle motors will be changed. Please refer to the following.
Applicable models
Servo Motor : αis series
Spindle Motor : α
iP series, αiT series, αiL series
Built-in Spindle Motor : α
iB series
Schedule
Manufacturing date from Feb-2003
Note) The name is changed automatically with the same order numbers.
Notes
Please pay attention to the following when MTB get approval from certificate body in
order to get CE Marking. Although FANUC reports the change in the motor name to
TUV, each MTB should do the following.
“MTB should notify certificate body of change in the motor name and follow the
procedures, because CDF (Construction Data Form) includes motor name.”
1. Servo Motor αis series
・ Summary
Servo motor αis series is changed in the name from αMi series. It is evaluated as
capital series in servo motors. The order numbers and torque specifications are the
same. (Only in αM3/5000i and αM3/5000HVi, the new name is α4/5000is and
α4/5000HVis, and the stall torque is change from 3 to 4 Nm.)
Details are given on the attached sheet of paper.
2. Spindle Motor
・ Summary
Spindle motor αi series is changed in the name from α?i series to αi? series
(? = B,T,L etc.).
The order numbers and specifications are the same.
