Backup and Restore of All Memory
Data by Rotary Switch
On Power Mate 0, the following operation is possible by setting the rotary
switch at turning on the power supply.
・ Clear all the contents of a memory.
・ Backup the contents of a memory and user files, such as ladder or macro
variables, to a memory card.
・ Restore them from a memory card.
This function realizes easy system maintenance without DPL/MDI or CRT/MDI.
SETTING OF ROTARY SWITCH
The operation such as clearing a memory and backup/restore the memory is
possible by selecting the rotary switch position as the following table.

0 Normal condition Please be sure to set the position of the rotary switch to
0. After Clear/ Backup/Restore functions are performed,
it is necessary to set back the position of the rotary
switch to 0 and turn off and on the power supply again.
5 Clearing the
non-volatile RAM.
The contents of the non-volatile RAM is cleared. This is
correspond to the operation as the power turned on with
pushing [RESET] and [DELETE] buttons on CRT/MDI
or [7] and [9] buttons on DPL/MDI.
8 Backup the
contents of the
non-volatile RAM
to a flash memory
card.
The all contents of the non-volatile RAM are backup to a
flash memory card. An alarm will occur when a capacity
of the memory card is smaller than that of Power Mate
0. And an alarm will occur when a write protect switch
of the memory card is not released.
A Restore the
contents of a flash
memory card to the
RAM.
The backup data in a memory card are restored to the
memory of Power Mate 0. An alarm will occur when a
write protect switch of the memory card is released.
