Canned Cycle
(1) Canned Cycle (from G81 to G89) can not be commanded in Hob
synchro mode. Alarm 184 occurs if canned cycles are commanded.
(2) G81.4(Starts Hob synchro) can not be commanded in canned cycle
mode. Alarm 187 occurs if G81.4 is commanded.
Thread Cutting
(1) Retract is available in thread cutting. When the retract signal
RTRCT <G066#4> is turned to “1”, thread cutting is stopped
immediately and retract starts.
(2) Thread cutting(G32,G34,G92, etc.) can not be commanded in Hob
syncrho mode. Alarm 184 occurs if those are commanded.
(3) G81.4(Starts Hob synchro) can not be commanded in thread cutting.
Alarm 187 occurs if G81.4 is commanded.
Manual Operation
(1) In helical gear synchronous mode, C-axis(workpiece) and Z-
axis(helical) can not move at the same time by JOG feed.
(2) In helical gear synchronous mode, C-axis(workpiece) and Z-
axis(helical) can not move at manual rapid traverse rate in JOG
mode. These axes move at JOG feedrate
Gear ratio between
spindle (hob axis ) and
position coder
Set the parameter No.7700 bit 5 to 0 and set the parameter 7711 to gear
ratio between spindle(hob axis) and position coder.
Multi spindle
When spindle which is the other than the 1st spindle is hob axis, set the
parameter No.3704 bit 6 to 1. This parameter is available when multi-
spindle control is active.
Feed Per Revolution
Feed per revolution in Hob synchronous mode performs based on the
speed of C-axis(workpiece).
Rapid traverse
(1) Rapid traverse (G00,G27,G28,G30, etc.) can not be specified to Z-
axis(axial axis) in helical gear synchronous mode. Alarm 184 occurs if
specified.
(2) Rapid traverse (G00,G27,G28,G30, etc.) can not be specified to C-axis
(workpiece) in hob synchronous mode. Alarm 184 occurs if specified.
Multi-path system
Hobbing function can be specified in case that all axes of hob axis, C-
axis(workpiece) and Z-axis (axial axis) exist in the same path.
