Temporary absolute coordinate setting
Details
The temporary absolute coordinate setting function is used in the full closed
system with an inner absolute position pulse coder and an incremental scale.
The CNC communicates with the inner absolute position pulse coder for
decision of the absolute position when the system is powered on. The
position decided in this power on sequence is rough because it is "the motor
position", though the position is generally controlled with "the incremental
scale" in the full closed system. To get the accurate position, the manual
reference position return is required after the system is powered on.
With this function, the position at the power on is rough, but the following
functions are available before the manual reference position return.
- Stroke limit check
- Position Switch
In using the temporary absolute coordinate, the coordinate is same as the
reference position return has not been performed.
The reference position return is required to get the accurate position after the
power on sequence.
The reference position establishment signal (F120) are not set to "1" until the
manual reference point return is performed.
The diagnosis No.304 (reference counter value) are also not displayed until
the manual reference point return is performed.
