Calculation of the amount of overtravel
This function performs interference checks based on the position information
after pulse distribution, so that overtravel results if the alarm causes a stop.
This function cannot check all interference patterns in each distribution cycle
due to the processing capacity of the CNC. An idle running distance
(amount of overtravel) will, therefore, result until all interference patters are
checked.
The amount of overtravel can be determined with the following formula.
All interference checks are performed in the time set in IC1 to IC4, bits 4 to
7 of parameter No. 14900. The time will be a multiple of 8. If IC1 to IC4,
bits 4 to 7 of parameter No. 14900 are 0, the time is 16 msec, then
Amount of travel due to the interference check function = Rapid traverse
rate/(60 x 1000) x Interference check processing time
= (30000/(60 x 1000)) x 16 = 8.000 [mm]
This function performs processing in a CNC distribution cycle, and
increasing the value set in IC1 to IC4 causes the processing in the CNC
distribution cycle to increase. If the processing in the distribution cycle
increases, this affects the preprocessing for program commands and the
processing for screen display, causing the time required for the
preprocessing and the processing to be increased.
Adjust the settings of IC1 to IC4 as appropriate, using 8 as a rough guide.
