4. Spindle Speed Check
By spindle software, the spindle speed calculated by feedback pulse from
position coder attached to the spindle is monitored. When it exceeds the
reference speed, the spindle software detects the spindle alarm (alarm 9126,
SPM alarm “C6”) and stops the spindle motor by control.
4.1. Specification
- When the spindle speed calculated by feedback pulse from position coder exceeds the reference speed,
spindle alarm 9126(spindle speed excess alarm) is detected.
- When the spindle software detects the spindle speed excess alarm, it tries to decelerate the spindle motor
and the excitation is OFF after SSTA(zero speed detection signal: F45.1)=1. If the spindle motor does not
decelerate, the spindle motor coasts immediately.
- ALMA(spindle alarm signal: F45.0) is not output during deceleration. It is output after the excitation is
OFF.
- If any other alarm is detected during deceleration, the spindle motor coasts immediately and ALMA signal
is output. And then, the displayed alarm number is not overwritten.
4.2. Related paramter
4512 Reference speed of spindle
[Data unit] 1 min
-1
[Data range] 0 ~ 32767
[Standard setting value] 0
When the spindle speed exceeds the setting reference speed, alarm
9126(spindle speed excess alarm) is detected.
Because the alarm is detected by comparing the actual spindle speed with the
setting speed, setting value requires some margin which is about 10min
-1
as a
guideline.
When setting value is “0”, alarm detection is invalid.
