1. Outline
This function is designed for high-speed precise machining. With this function, the delay due to
acceleration / deceleration and the delay in the servo system which increase as the feedrate
becomes higher can be suppressed. And the errors in the machining profile can be reduced.
The maximum 40 blocks look ahead linear acceleration / deceleration before interpolation can
be executed and a smooth acceleration / deceleration across the multi blocks is achieved. As
the result, a more high-speed machining can be executed.
As for this function, following changes are added to the simple high-precision contour control
function. ( The function name is changed to AI contour control function from simple high-
precision contour control. )
Maximum look ahead blocks number is changed to 40 blocks from 5 blocks. (Model-C)
Maximum look ahead blocks number is changed to 40 blocks from 15 blocks. (i series)
Feedrate clamp based on acceleration function is added.
Number of block overlap function is changed. ( Parameter setting is possible. )
2. Specification
This function becomes effective in the AI contour control mode.
2.1 Command format
G05.1 Q_ ;
Q 1 : AI contour control mode on
Q 0 : AI contour control mode off
(Note1) Please command G05.1 with an independent block.
(Note2) AI contour control mode is released by the reset.
2.2 Effective functions
The following functions become effective in the AI contour control mode
(1) Multiple blocks look ahead linear acceleration / deceleration function before interpolation
(Maximum 40 blocks)
(2) Automatic corner deceleration function
(3) Feedrate clamp based on acceleration function
(4) Feedrate clamp based on arc radius function
(5) Block overlap function (5 blocks)
(6) Look-ahead feed forward function
