Set a safe speed for each spindle axis in terms of motor speed.
CNC CPU and spindle DSP always monitor the speed for each spindle axis in dual check
safety function.
4 safe speeds are set in these parameters. Safe speed is selected according to the status of
the safe speed selection signals (safe input signals).
・When parameter DSn = 0
In safety signal mode B (state in which a guard open request is input, and the guard is
closed), if there is at least one spindle axis for which a speed greater than the safe speed is
specified, the guard unlock signal (*LGD) is set to 0 to disable guard unlocking. The state in
which the speeds specified for all spindle axes are within the safe speeds is one condition
for setting the guard unlock signal (*LGD) to 1 (to enable guard unlocking).
In safety signal mode C (state in which a guard open request is input, and the guard is open),
spindle alarm No.757 (No.767, 777, 787) and AL-69 are generated for the spindle axis for
which a speed greater than the safe speed.
・When parameter DSn = 1
In safety signal mode A (state in which a guard open request is not input), B or C, spindle
alarm No.757 (No.767, 777, 787) and AL-69 are generated for the spindle axis for which a
speed greater than the safe speed.
NOTE1) Safe speed parameters No.4372, No.4438, No.4440 and No.4442 are protected by
key and password of dual check safety function. If these parameters should be
changed, please set the password for safe parameters to the key for safe
parameters (parameter No.3226).
NOTE2) When this parameter is set, power must be turned off before operation is continued.
