1. Outline
In case of stand-alone type FANUC series 16i/18i/21i, the Ethernet default address can be
set by 7-segment LED and push switch.
This default address is enable to connect CNC with a personal computer by one-to-one.
The final Ethernet address connected to the network need to be set by a personal computer
or CNC.
2. Setting method
The function number is selected to “0”(normal state) with the rotary switch and the power is
tuned on.
(1) The push switch is held down for about five seconds in normal operation (display “0” on the 7-
segment LED).
(2) “0” blinks on the 7-segment LED.
(3) Press the push switch.
(4) Primary selection mode is selected and numbers display on the 7-segment LED as follows.
0 7
(5) When “7” is displayed on the 7-segment LED, press the push switch.
(6) “7” blinks on the 7-segment LED.
(7) Press the push switch.
(8) Secondary selection mode is selected and numbers display on the 7-segment LED as follows.
0 1 F
(9) When “1” is displayed on the 7-segment LED, press the push switch.
(10) “1” blinks on the 7-segment LED.
(11) Press the push switch.
(12) Third selection mode is selected and numbers display on the 7-segment LED as follows.
0 3 F
(13) When “3” is displayed on the 7-segment LED, press the push switch.
(14) “3” blinks on the 7-segment LED.
(15) Press the push switch.
(16) Fourth selection mode is selected and numbers display on the 7-segment LED as follows.
