I.1 Installation of CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 Service Pack 4
It is necessary to install CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 Service Pack 4 (SP4) and
the Hotfix 072105_22989_6104 to use CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 with
Windows XP SP2. Please install each file after installing CIMPLICITY HMI
6.1.
The following two files are required;
(1) CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 SP4 (file name is HMI6.1SP4.exe)
(2) HotFix 072105_22989_6104 (file name is 072105_22989_6104.zip)
These two files are compressed files. Please install these files after extracing.
Required hard disk space to install these files are as follows. Install these
after confirming the hard disk space.

Installation procedure
Note
To install these files, it is necessary to use an Administrators
group's (manager of the computer) user name.
Install each file according to the following procedures.
1. Confirm that the CIMPLICITY project is not operated and CIMPLICITY
screen is not displayed.
2. Copy (1)HMI6.1SP4.exe and (2)072105_22989_6104.zip files to an
arbitrary folder in your PC.
3. Run (1)HMI6.1SP4.exe and extract (2)072105_22989_6104.zip. The
following folders will be created where compressed files are exist.
(1) HMI6.1SP4
(2) 072105_22989_6104
4. Execute setup.bat in the created folder HMI6.1SP4.
The installer will be activated and install it according to the instruction of
the screen.
5. The installer of the iHistorian(data base special to preserve the point
data) client software is automatically called during the installation.
When you doesn't use the iHistorian, and when the installation of the
client software of iHistorian is unnecessary, this installation can be
canceled. The iHistorian is not used in the i CELL.

  • Page 4I Setting for Windows XP Service Pack 2 This chapter explains setting procedure to operate FANUC CIMPLICITY i CELL (i CELL) on the PC which installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). There are the following two kinds of procedure to operate i CELL by Windows XP SP2 environment. A. In case of the new
