I.2 Installation of FANUC CIMPLICITY i CELL
Note
When you add Windows XP SP2 to the PC which has already
installed i CELL, it is not necessary to re-install i CELL.
So, the following explanation in this chapter is unnecessary.
After installing Windows XP SP2, please install CIMPLICITY HMI
SP4 according to the instruction in the "I.1 Installation of
CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 Service Pack 4", then setup Firewall
according to the instruction in the "I.3 Firewall Setting of Windows
XP Service Pack 2"
In order to run i CELL on the Windows XP SP2, please install
CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1, and CIMPLICITY SP4, then install i CELL.
Please refer to the "II. INSTALATION" in the manual B-75074EN for the
details of installation procedure of i CELL.
When you install i CELL, following two messages will be displayed.
(1) Message displayed when installer is activated
(2) Message displayed when i CELL server or viewer component is selected
We confirmed that i CELL is running with Windows XP SP2 and
CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 SP4 environment, so click [Yes] button to these two
messages and continue installing procedures.

  • Page 4I Setting for Windows XP Service Pack 2 This chapter explains setting procedure to operate FANUC CIMPLICITY i CELL (i CELL) on the PC which installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). There are the following two kinds of procedure to operate i CELL by Windows XP SP2 environment. A. In case of the new
  • Page 5I.1 Installation of CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 Service Pack 4 It is necessary to install CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 Service Pack 4 (SP4) and the Hotfix 072105_22989_6104 to use CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1 with Windows XP SP2. Please install each file after installing CIMPLICITY HMI 6.1. The following two files are required;
