High Resolution Serial Output Circuit C(Circuit-C) detects the following alarms in
addition to usual ones.
1. In Circuit-C, Absolute Position Data(APD) is calculated rightly when the 3
rd
or 4
th
reference mark is detected continuously after power-on. PMAL(Pulse Miss ALarm) is
detected when APD cannot be calculated rightly because of some reasons, for example,
the error of A/B phase counter.
2. In Circuit-C, APD is calculated on every reference mark even after it could calculate
rightly first. It is checked if the accumulated position data from A/B phase signals and
APD calculated using distance-coded reference marks are the same or not. If they are
not the same continuously 3 times, PMAL occurs. PMAL on this situation is controlled
by “SW3” on PCB. Please refer to page 16 for details of it.
