Connection between
α
i series amplifiers and Power Failure Backup Module
1. Summary

1. Summary
This document describes about the connection between αi series amplifiers and Power
Failure Backup Module.
The connection with αi series amplifiers is different at the following points from the
connection with α series amplifiers.
1-1. Connection with Power Failure Backup Module with control power backup function
(A06B-6077-H002).
(1) #BM designation for PSM is not needed.
In case of connecting with α series amplifiers, #BM designation for PSM is needed,
but in case of connecting with αi series amplifiers, normal PSM is used.
(#BM designation does not exist for αi series PSM.)
(2) Cable is changed.
1. Cable K65 connected to CX1B on PSM is not needed.
2. The cable connected to CX14 on Power Failure Backup Module is changed from
K59 to K75.
3. The connecting point of the cable K63 connected to JX1A on Power Failure Backup
Module is changed from JX1B on SPM or SVM to JX1B on PSM
(3) The number of amplifiers to which the control power 24V can be supplied from PSM
is limited. For the amplifiers to which the control power 24V can not be supplied
from PSM, supply the control power 24V from external power supply equipment.
1-2. Connection with Power Failure Backup Module without control power backup function
(A06B-6077-H001).
(1) Cable is changed.
1. The cable connected to CX14 on Power Failure Backup Module is changed from
K59 to K75.
2. The connecting point of the cable K63 connected to JX1A on Power Failure Backup
Module is changed from JX1B on SPM or SVM to JX1B on PSM
