This section describes the method of supplying the control power 24V from the external power
supply equipment in case that the number of SVMs connected to PSM exceeds the maximum
number calculated in section 4.
(1) Connection
Supply the control power 24V of SPMs from the external power supply equipment according
to the following figure.
24V (A1,A2) must not be connected between SPM (24V is supplied from the external) and
SVM (24V is supplied from PSM). Cable K69 cannot be used for this connection.

SPM within 200msec after PSM control power (CX1A) is turned on. PSM control power must
be turned on before CNC power is turned on or within 500msec after CNC power is turned on.
(3) Specification of the external power supply equipment
The external power supply equipment needs to keep 24V output for more than 30msec after
the power failure occurs and need to permit DC voltage input (AC input voltage × √2) because
DC link voltage is supplied to the external power supply equipment in the power failure.
The current capacity of SPM is 1.5A per one SPM-55i and 1A per one SPM except SPM-55i.
