(3) On account of characteristics of the flash memory installed in CF card, in case of repeating to read
the written data in CF card, a quality of the written data deteriorates, and as a result the data
errors may be occurred. Even if such situation is occurred, these CF cards have the function that
automatically repair the data and do not read out the wrong data. However, it takes time to read
out the data for a while. This delay of read-out time influences the performance and the speed of
DNC operation or Memory operation, and the result of the processed goods.
So, these things considered please use DNC operation with memory card.
As the conditions for use are different from each CNC system, please use the below conditions.
In case that it is necessary to operate the high performance or process the expensive work-piece,
please use DNC operation of Data Server. In DNC operation of Data Server, this delay of
read-out does not influence the result of process goods and so on.
• Series 16i/18i/21i-A/B, Series 0i/0i Mate-C
Please use the processing time of one block over 16ms.
• Series 15i-A/B
Please use the processing time of one block over 8ms.
• Series 30i/31i/32i-A,Series 31i-A5
In case of DNC operation, please use the processing time of one block over 4ms.
In case of Memory operation with memory card, please use the processing time of one block
over 24ms.
3. Matters to be attended to operate Memory operation with Data Server in 30i series
Since a reason is the same as 2.(3), please use the processing time of one block over 24ms in Memory
operation with Data Server.
4. Matters to be attended to back the SRAM data, etc up in 16i/160is/18i/180is/21i/210is/20i-A and Power
Mate i series
In 16i/160i/160is/18i/180i/180is/21i/210i/210is-A

, it takes long time
to back the SRAM data, etc up to these cards. For example, it takes one and a half minutes to write
a 1MB file and it takes about 5 minutes to write the 3MB file.
And, in case that the vacant capacity of the CF card is not enough, it may take more time to write the
data. In this case, please delete the unnecessary files in the CF card or format the CF card.
*4: In case of 160i/160is/180i/180is/210i/210is-A, this matters that require attention is when using
PCMCIA port on a body of a stand-alone type CNC.
*5: It is restricted to use PCMCIA port on a display unit with touch panel in Power Mate i series.
