Operation
When displaying the contents of a program storage file or selecting a main program, select a
program storage memory card by device change operation.
Device change operation
Insert a program storage memory card into the card slot then press the [DEVICE CHANGE]
soft key. Next, select the program storage memory card ([MEMCARD]).
NOTE
1 A memory card that is formatted in the FAT format and has a program
storage file named "FANUCPRG.BIN" is recognized as a "program
storage memory card".
2 To use a program storage memory card that allows more than 63
entries to be created, the option for "memory card program entry count
extension" is required.
Removal
When replacing a program storage memory card or using a memory card for ordinary
purposes (such as data input/output), perform a "removal" operation to cancel the recognition
of the program storage memory card.
Press the [DEVICE CHANGE] soft key then the [REMOVAL] soft key.
This soft key is displayed after the CNC recognizes the memory card as a "program storage
memory card" as the result of a device change operation.
When the main program is a memory card program, the main program is deselected by a
removal operation.
NOTE
This operation is possible only in the EDIT mode or MEM mode.
If memory card programs are selected as the main programs of
multiple paths in a multi-path control system, place all of the paths in
the EDIT mode or MEM mode.
Changing the default folder
Pressing the [FOREGROUND CHANGE]/[BACKGROUND CHANGE] soft key sets the
current folder as the default folder in the foreground/background.
NOTE
If the default folder is a folder held in a program storage file, the folder
is changed to "//CNC_MEM/" by a removal operation.
Changing the folder
Pressing the [CHANGE] soft key moves you to the folder currently selected with the cursor.
