3 PROGRAM CONVERSION
Source file of conversion
Text file of mnemonic format outputted from FANUC LADDER-III
can be converted. There are following requirements on the
mnemonic file.
• Must be converted to source program on FANUC LADDER-III
without error.
• Third level ladder sequence should not be included.
• Step sequence program should not be included.
Operation of conversion
To convert the sequence program from FANUC LADDER-III format
to FANUC LADDER-IIIC format, there are two procedures as
follows.
1. Conversion on FANUC LADDER-IIIC
If FANUC LADDER-IIIC is installed in your computer,
mnemonic format file can be imported directly to the target
format of FANUC LADDER-IIIC by executing the PMC
Program Conversion Tool.
2. Conversion on PMC Program Conversion Tool.
At first, convert the mnemonic format file on PMC Program
Conversion Tool. Then, import the result of conversion tool to
FANUC LADDER-IIIC.
In this procedure, the result of conversion tool can be modified
before importing to FANUC LADDER-IIIC. Therefore, it is
convenient to combine the results of conversion from plural
source programs or to choose any part of the conversion results.
Operations and the data flow for each way are described as follows.
