Heidenhain absolute encoder RCN723F is available in 90A7/B for i-series CNC. This encoder has 2

3) Pole position detection function
After the encoder is connected with a motor, Pole position detection function has to be executed once in order
to make C phase signal from RCN723F. The result value is stored to N2139. If N2139 is resetted to zero, Pole
position detection function has to be executed again. Refer to following document concerning how to operate
this function.

4) Cautions
• In case that high revolutionary precision is required, maximum speed is limited within 60 min

by encoder.
• In case that high revolutionary precision isn't required such as velocity mode, maximum speed is available
up to 300 min
