3. Operation
1) CNC memorizes active executing data (the active program block pointer and the position, etc.) to
nonvolatile memory during the machining operation.
2) Stop program (e.g. by reset switch), or CNC power-off.
3) The reference point return for all the axes is operated after power-on.
(This operation is not necessary in case of CNC system with absolute pulse coder.)
4) Select resume position by Restart position select signal (RSRSEL<G248#7>).
5) When operator pushes the restart switch in MEM mode, PMC sets the Program auto restart signal
(RSTRT<G201#7>).
6) When the RSTRT signal is turned “0” after “1”, CNC turns the restart procedure executing signal
(RSTRTL<F199#6>) “1”.
7) CNC positions the workpiece to the restart position (Restart position return process).
8) CNC searches the restart program, and searches the restart position on this program by using
memorized data (Restart position search process). In case of resume from mode start position,
please refer to 2.2.2.
9) When this search process is complete, CNC becomes feed hold status, and turns the RSTRTL
signal “0” and the restart procedure completion signal (RSTRTE<F199#7>) “1”. In case of resume
from mode start position, signal RSRCUT is set to “0”.
10) When the cycle start signal is pushed, CNC sets signal RSTRTE to “0” and the program execution
is restarted from the restart position.
