4. Input / Output Signals (CNCPMC)
4.1. Remarks
During tandem drive is active, input signals should be performed to master SPM.
Specification of input signal is the same as normal spindle. See ”FANUC AC SPINDLE MOTOR
αi series PARAMETER MANUAL : B-65280EN” for details.
No input PMC signal to slave SPM is needed.
PMC signals are transferred from master SPM to slave SPM as needed.
Use output signals of master spindle for sequence proceeding judgment such as speed arrival,
alarm detection etc.(No output signal of slave SPM is necessary).
4.2. Input signal (PMCCNC)
15i 16i 30i #7 #6 #5 #4 #3 #2 #1 #0
1SP G226 G071 G071 SOCNA
2SP G234 G075 G075 SOCNB
SOCNA : Soft start/stop signal (for 1st spindle)
SOCNB : Soft start/stop signal (for 2nd spindle)
0 : disables soft start/stop function
1 : enables soft start/stop function
Specifies whether to use soft start/stop function.
This signal may be useful to reduce mechanical shock at acceleration /
deceleration.
It is not necessary to perform this signal for slave SPM when tandem drive is
active (SLVx=1).
15i 16i 30i #7 #6 #5 #4 #3 #2 #1 #0
1SP G228 G073 G073 MPOFA SLVA
2SP G236 G077 G077 MPOFB SLVB
SLVA : Tandem command (for 1st spindle)
SLVB : Tandem command (for 2nd spindle)
0 : Disables Tandem drive
1 : Enables Tandem drive
Specifies whether to active tandem drive
Set “1” for both master and slave SPMs when Torque Tandem is used.
Remark
*1 This signal must be changed when master and slave spindles are
stopping. SPM refuses this signal when spindle is rotating.
*2 This signal must be changed during velocity control mode.
SPM refused this signal when spindle is in other control mode.
*3 Don’t set to “1” when master and slave are disconnected mechanically.
MPOFA : Motor power turn-off signal (for 1st spindle)
MPOFB Motor power turn-off signal (for 2nd spindle)
0 : normal operation
1 : Turns off the motor power
Specifies whether to turn off motor power.
