Torque Tandem Control Description
A-53866E-0450
01
It is not necessary to perform this signal for slave SPM when tandem drive is
active (SLVx=1).
Remark
Motor power of master and slave spindle must be turned off
immediately when abnormal condition is detected to minimize damage
of machine.
Be sure to turn off motor power in such situation.
4.3. Output signal (CNC→PMC)
15i 16i 30i #7 #6 #5 #4 #3 #2 #1 #0
1SP F229 F045 F045 SSTA
2SP F245 F049 F049 SSTB
SSTA : Zero speed detection signal (for 1st spindle)
SSTB : Zero speed detection signal (for 2nd spindle)
0 : Spindle is rotating
1 : Spindle is in zero speed status
Be sure to confirm status of these signals of both master and slave are “1”
before changing status of Tandem command(SLVx).
SPM refuses Tandem command(SLVx) when this signal is “0”.

1SP F228 F046 F046 SLVSA
2SP F244 F050 F050 SLVSB
SLVSA : Tandem status signal (for 1st spindle)
SLVSB : Tandem status signal (for 2nd spindle)
0 : Tandem drive is not active
1 : Tandem drive is active
Be sure to confirm status of these signals of both master and slave are “1”
before performing directives for master SPM.
