1 GENERAL
When the deep hole cutting is executed by the tapping cycle or the rigid tapping cycle, the
cutting may be difficult because that the chips gets entangled in tool or the cutting resistance
increases.
In this case, this function, such that the cutting is performed by moving from point R until
the bottom of the hole in several times, is useful.
By this function, the following two cycles are available.
• High-speed peak tapping cycle :
After cutting is performed, the tapping axis is retracted only return value.
This operation is repeated to the hole bottom.
• Peak tapping cycle :
After cutting is performed, the tapping axis is retracted to point R.
This operation is repeated to the hole bottom.
These cycles can be selected by setting the parameter.
When the depth of each cutting is commanded by using the address Q in G84 (Front tapping
cycle) or G88 (Side tapping cycle), The high-speed peck tapping cycle or the peck tapping
cycle is executed.
This function is effective to both of the tapping cycle and the rigid tapping cycle.
Even when this function is applied, if not ordering the address Q, the ordinary tapping cycle
or the ordinary rigid tapping cycle is executed.
This function is available by the canned cycle for drilling option.
When using the rigid tapping of the peck tapping cycle, the rigid tapping option is necessary.
