#2 modified.
2.2 The Z-axis position of starting X-axis and Y-axis.
X-axis and Y-axis can start to move for positioning when Z-axis retracts and reaches this
position. This position is defined by setting a relative distance from the position of Z- axis at
starting this function in parameter No.15865. System variable #6048 is assigned for
parameter No.15865. If set value is zero, it is regarded as 30000.
2.3 Deceleration position
At this position, CNC controls the velocity of Z-axis to decelerate from approach velocity to
gap control velocity when Z-axis descends after completing retraction by this function. This
position is defined by setting a relative distance from the position of Z-axis at starting this
function in parameter No.15866. System variable #6049 is assigned for parameter No.15866.
If set value is zero, it is regarded as 30000.
2.4 Execution end position
Automatic gap control axis retraction and approaching function is regarded to be end when
Z-axis reaches this position. After Z-axis reaches this position and this function is ended,
Z-axis is controlled by gap control function. If external signal NPDS(G488#6) is "1", Z-axis is
stopped at this position. But gap control function is not canceled. So, Z-axis cannot be
commanded to move. If signal NPDS=0, part program moves to next block at the same time
when automatic gap control axis retraction and approaching function is completed. But
when parameter No.15840#4=1, this function is completed when gap deflection becomes
approaching complete status after Z-axis reaches execution end position. And part program
moves to next block. This position is defined by setting a relative distance from the position
of Z- axis at starting this function in parameter No.15867. This position cannot be defined
higher than deceleration position. An appropriate value to secure the deceleration distance
must be set in this parameter. System variable #6050 is assigned for parameter No.15867. If
set value is zero, it is regarded as zero. If the surface of workpiece is positioned higher than
execution end position because of warp, Z-axis is supposed that it reaches execution end
position when gap control deflection is smaller than parameter No.15550.
2.5 A retraction and approaching velocity of Z-axis.
A retraction and approaching velocity of Z-axis in this function is defined by parameter
No.15845. But in the actual movement, retraction velocity is limited by parameter No.15858
and approaching velocity is limited by parameter No.15857.
2.6 Movement start of X-axis and Y-axis.
All the axes except for Z-axis become interlock status until Z-axis reaches the position of
starting X-axis and Y-axis. If CNC cannot find the release condition of interlock status,
arriving Z-axis at the position set in parameter No.15843 makes releasing the interlock
status for basis axes.
2.7 Retraction limit position of Z-axis
If Z-axis moves according to the set value of parameter No.15842 during executing this
function, OT alarm may happen depending on the position of Z-axis or the position of
