determined before stopping the program in this case.
Z-axis locus looks like starting approach after completing X- and Y- axis positioning in case
that the movement of X- and Y-axis positioning until Z-axis reaches the set position of
completing retraction is short when Z-axis starts to be retracted at restart.
When the program is restarted, if the rest of X- and Y- axis positioning distance is shorter
than the value set in parameter No.15844, Z-axis starts to approach and X- and Y- axis
starts positioning without retraction.
If the rest of movement of the basis axis is zero at restart, this function cannot be executed.
2.12 Changing of assist gas
When external signal PAGS (G490#5) is "1", assist gas output condition is changed from for
cutting to for piercing commanded by E code when Z-axis starts to be retracted.
Please command the assist gas command G32 in case of changing the assist gas output
condition after completing this function.
2.13 External signal of under executing automatic gap control axis retraction and approaching
function.
The external signal is output from CNC to PMC under executing this function.
When this function is started, external signal PPEX (F488#6) is set to "1".
This signal is changed to "0" when Z-axis reaches execution end position and the next block
is started.
Also this signal is set to "0" when the program is stopped by feed-hold or reset.
2.14 The parameter setting for Z-axis
In gap control mode, Z-axis is controlled by not position control but velocity control.
Following parameters must be set to recognize the real machine position of Z-axis according
to feedback data of pulse-coder.
Parameter No.1806#5 = 1
Parameter No.2224#1 = 1 (Axis type)
