axis movement becomes zero. Z-axis can start to descend according to the movement
determined by the distance that the basis axis moves until Z-axis reaches the position set in
parameter No.15843.
2.8 The position of basis axes when Z-axis starts to approach.
The distance that the basis axis moves until completing Z-axis retraction is named as "A".
Then, the timing that Z-axis starts to approach is when the rest of the distance of the basis
axis becomes 70% of "A" basically. This ratio can be changed by parameter No.15861. So, the
timing when Z-axis starts to approach can be adjusted with this parameter. The rest of the
distance of the basis axis that Z-axis starts to approach can be adjusted in the following
calculation.
"A" * (parameter No.15861/100)
If a set value of parameter No.15861 is zero, it is regarded as 70. And maximum settable
value is 20000. If a set value is bigger than 20000, it is regarded as 20000.
The bigger parameter No.15861 is set, the earlier Z-axis starts to approach. In case of
adjusting the approach timing of Z-axis, the action of the function should be tested with
setting 70 to parameter No.15861 at first. After that, increase the set value like 100, 150,
200, 250, and 300, and check the action.
If the rest of the movement of the basis axis becomes half or less of the total movement of
the positioning block before Z-axis finishes to be retracted, Z-axis starts to move to execution
end position. Z-axis may not be retracted to the position set in parameter No.15842.
If Z-axis is below the deceleration position, Z-axis moves to execution position after retracted
to deceleration position.
2.9 The basis axis
A basis axis is different by the type of positioning.
In case of linear interpolation type positioning (parameter No.1401#1=1), the basis axes are
both X- and Y- axis and the distance and movement are linear.
In case of non-linear interpolation type (parameter No.1401#1=0), the basis axis is
determined on the axis that has longer movement than another.
2.10 A setting of positioning distance that the function is not executed.
The minimum positioning distance that the function is executed can be set in parameter
No.15844. If the positioning distance of the basis axis is shorter than the value of parameter
No.15844, the function executed and the positioning of X- and/or Y-axis is normally
executed.
Assist gas output described in section 2.12 can be changed from for cutting to for piercing
condition in this case.
2.11 Feed-hold
If the program is stopped by feed-hold during executing this function, this function is
cancelled and all the axes are stopped. When the program is restarted after feed-hold, this
function is executed again according to the rest of the movement of the basis axis, retraction
position, deceleration position, and execution end position. And all the positions have been
