5. Communication alarm occurs when CNC power is turned on in FS15i-MB [9D50/M]
The problem described below is corrected.
[Phenomenon]
Alarm SP0246 (Communication data error) or SP0978 (Serial spindle communication error) occurs
on CNC (FS15i-MB) when the power is turned on.
[Condition]
Combination of αi series spindle software 9D50/12 and FS15i-MB
This problem doesn’t occur in the other combinations.
[Cause]
This problem of serial communication is caused by that modification in revision of 9D50/12 does not
support FS15i -MB.
[Countermeasure]
Please update spindle software to 9D50/13 or later edition.
This problem will be solved if you turned off and on only CNC power after the alarm occurred.
So, you can use the machine provisionally in this way.
