10.4. Alarm message of servo amplifier
When alarm occurs with the servo amplifier connected to PDM via local FSSB, the following two
messages of (1) and (2) are at the same time displayed on the message screen of CNC.
(1) Alarm message
The message shows the contents of alarm.
About the details of an alarm message, please refer to the FANUC SERVO AMPLIFIER αi
series MAINTENANCE MANUAL (B-65285E).
(2) Local slave number message
The message shows the servo amplifier of what position of local FSSB occur alarm.
The kind and the contents of the message are shown in the following table.

634 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE3) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 3rd
slave connected to PDM.
635 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE4) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 4th
slave connected to PDM.
636 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE5) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 5th
slave connected to PDM.
637 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE6) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 6th
slave connected to PDM.
638 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE7) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 7th
slave connected to PDM.
639 PDM LOCAL ALARM (SLAVE8) Alarm has occurred with the amplifier of the 8th
slave connected to PDM.

When inverter abnormal current alarm occurs with the servo amplifier of the 3rd slave connected
to PDM (X-axis) via local FSSB as shown in the above figure, the following two messages are
displayed.
