2.5 Feed rates
There is danger that an actual feed rate of the slave axis grows more remarkably than usually during
overlapping control because the distribution pulse from the master axis is added to own distribution
pulse. ("usually" indicates rapid traverse rate etc. to which the parameter is set.) It is necessary to set
the feed rate used only during overlapping control to prevent this. The feed rate and the time constant
used only during overlapping control are as follows.

Both master axes and slave axes use these parameters which are particularly set during overlapping
control. An appropriate value is set in consideration of the feed rate after the pulse is added. The
maximum cutting feed rate is not changed during two blocks including the current block when
overlapping control is switched in automatic operation. However, the maximum cutting feed rate is
changed when the next block is executed in case of none-buffering M-code is commanded. Feed rates
except the maximum cutting feed rate are changed as soon as the overlapping control is begun or is
released.
2.6 Differences between normal synchronous control and overlapping control
The synchronous error correction and the synchronous error detection are not performed
between the master axis and the slave axis of the overlapping control.
The parking signal is invalid to the axis controlling overlapping.
When the overlapping control is released in automatic operation, movement command and
coordinate system setting can be commanded at once to the overlapping slave axis. There is
no limit that movement command is prohibited in 2 or 3 blocks like the synchronous control.
The reference point return cannot be commanded in the overlapping slave axis.
