(5) Mounting method of CZi Sensor
(5).1 Mounting the detection ring
Prepare a flange on the spindle shaft and fix the detection ring with screws to the spindle axis direction using the
through holes on the detection ring. Adjust the detection ring so that the radial eccentricity of the alignment track is
within 0.01mm.

NOTE
It is recommended that the outer diameter of a flange is larger by 0.1mm or more than the inner diameter of the detection
ring for smooth adjustment.
The detection ring should be fixed to the shaft with the screwsDon’t fix it by the shrink fitting.
The detection ring consists of the Z ring and the AB ring. Do not remove the screw to fasten these rings together. The
spindle should be so designed that it would not be interfered with the screw head because through hole is not counter
bored.
When adjusting the detection ring, measure the eccentricity by using the alignment track instead of the outer diameter of
Z ring. Be careful not to damage the tooth of a gear.
When the magnetic dust sticks to the teeth of the detection ring, there is a possibility of incorrect detection. Perform an air
blow after alignment.
