3.6. Caution for Installation of Level-up Type
Level-up type C2000-E uses parts mostly common to the conventional type, thus cautions are
basically the same as the conventional type. However, the following points are different from
the conventional type, and caution is requested at installation.
CNC FS16i-LB or later is required to control level-up type C2000-E. FS16i-LA cannot
be used. (See section 2.2.)
Even if the CNC is FS16i-LB, a newer version of system software is required, so
software version should be confirmed. (See section 3.8.)
Due to the addition of Processing Mode Change Function, control parameters are
added. Parameter settings require extra caution.
Laser gas specification is different from conventional type. Please confirm that the right
specification is connected.
When the laser gas of conventional composition is used by mistake, the laser alarm
4125 "LASER GAS SPEC/MIX" will be generated. For detail, please refer to “FANUC
Series 16i/160i-LB Processing Mode Change Function Specification (A-90107)”
Parameters are set to High-Power Mode at shipment.
Sufficient aging is required after start-up. For manual aging, please use the following
settings:
Gas pressure settings 820 (82Torr) / Parameter No. 15242、15243
Laser output command Pc=1000W, Fr=100Hz, Du=50%
3.7. Distinction of Level-up Type from the Conventional Type
Please confirm “TYPE” on the equipment nameplate on the end panel (breaker side).
Conventional type A04B-0813-B301, or A04B-0813-B311
Level-up type A04B-0813-B321, or A04B-0813-B322
For level-up type, an additional sticker indicating “Installed Level-up Function for
Processing” is pasted below the class-4 label.
Cover is added to ceiling panel for level-up type. (See section 3.7) The conventional type
does not have this cover.
3.8. CNC and System Software Version
Level-up type C2000-E can only be controlled by the following CNCs.
(Notice: It is not possible to use FS16i-LA for control.)
Level-up type C2000-E requires the following CNC system software versions or later.
