Basic SPINDLE Tuning using SERVO GUIDE
4.3. Position gain setting
In rigid tapping, tapping axis and spindle are controlled to synchronize.
So, the position gains of tapping axis and spindle must be set to the same value.
(1) Parameters
Following parameters are prepared corresponding to gear signals and clutch/gear signals.
[SERVO AXIS]
Parameter No
16i/18i/21i, 0i
Gear signals
T series M series
Standard
setting
Description
T series
GR1, GR2
M series
GR1O, 2O, 3O
5280* 0 Position gain on rigid tapping (Common) - -
5281 5281 0 Position gain on rigid tapping 0, 0 1, 0, 0
5282 5282 0 Position gain on rigid tapping 1, 0 0, 1, 0
5283 5283 0 Position gain on rigid tapping 0, 1 0, 0, 1
5284 - 0 Position gain on rigid tapping 1, 1
NOTE
When the parameter No.5280 is “0”, each parameter corresponding
to gear signals becomes valid.
[Spindle]
Parameter No
16i/18i/21i, 0i
Standard
setting
Description
4065 1000 Position gain on rigid tapping (High) CTH1, CTH2=0,0
4066 1000 Position gain on rigid tapping (Medium high) CTH1, CTH2=0,1
4067 1000 Position gain on rigid tapping (Medium low) CTH1, CTH2=1,0
4068 1000 Position gain on rigid tapping (Low) CTH1, CTH2=1,1
(2) Guideline of setting.
Guidelines of position gains setting differ according to spindle configuration.
Set the parameters according to following guideline.
