SYNCHRONOUS CONTROL BETWEEN 2 PATH
01

TAKEUCHI
1. Overview
FANUC Series 16i-MA(The following are abbreviated with 16i-MA) of two path builds
two independent path and is used for the usage in which two tools of the machining
center are controlled independently. (These two path are usually called PATH1 and
PATH2. It is written in this specifications, PATH1 and PATH2.) The axes (X1 axis
Y1 axis, etc.), of which it is part in PATH1, is controlled by the program command
in PATH1. Moreover, the axes (X2 axis and Y2 axis, etc.), of which it is part in
PATH2, is controlled by the program command in PATH2.
This Synchronous control function provides synchronous control between paths.
(1) Synchronous control
・An arbitrary axis is synchronized with an arbitrary axis in the other path.
(example) The X2 axis is synchronized with the X1 axis.
2. Synchronous control
An axis is able to be synchronized with an axis in the other path. The same movement
command of an axis (synchronous master axis) is commanded also to the corresponding
axis (synchronous slave axis), and then the slave axis is moved as same as the
master axis.
2.1 Setting
By setting parameter No.8180, axes used for synchronous control are determined.
(example) When X1 axis synchronizes with X2 axis No.8180x on PATH1 side = 1
When X2 axis synchronizes with X1 axis No.8180x on PATH2 side = 1
When B1 axis synchronizes with B2 axis No.8180b on PATH1 side = 4
When B2 axis synchronizes with B1 axis No.8180b on PATH2 side = 4
2.2 Command
Waiting M code and M code of beginning or releasing synchronous are continuously
commanded in the machining program.
