10 Notice
The maximum number of interface units like an analog servo interface unit or a separate
detector interface unit that can be connected to one FSSB line is two.
The maximum number of FSSB line that can be connected to FS30i series CNC is three.
Therefore, up to 6 analog servo interface units can be connected to FS30i for HRV2 or
HRV3 and FS30i can control up to 24 analog servo axes and 8 digital servo axes for HRV2
or up to 24 analog servo axes and 4 digital servo axes for HRV3. For HRV4, FS30i can
control up to 10 axes for HRV4 regardless of analog or digital. The restrictions about the
maximum number of axes are concerned with the control method, equipment and axis
control hardware. Please see below tables.

Figures inside “( )” means the maximum number of the analog and digital servo axis.
Figure outside “( )“ means the maximum number of the analog servo axis. Additional axis
board may not be installed because it is option. Furthermore, the maximum number of axes
depends on the software series, too.
When an analog servo interface unit is connected to the FSSB line, the number of the
separate detector interface unit can be connected to the same FSSB line is one. Therefore,
adding the separate detector interface unit may decrease the maximum number of analog
servo axes. For example, the maximum number of the analog servo axes of B26 is 16, but if
the number of the separaete detector interface unit is one, it becomes 12. If the number of
the separaete detector interface unit is two, it becomes 8.
An analog servo interface unit has four encoder interfaces. The unused one can be used for
full closed control.
When the number of axes that was set for the first FSSB line is zero, no axes can be set for
the second FSSB line.
