1.1 Tool attachment/detachment function
Soft key for switching automatic/manual mode
1.1.1 General
The operation of tool attaching or detaching by the tool attachment/ detachment function is
executed in the following mode.
・ Automatic mode (Tool attaching and detaching are executed automatically by machine)
・ Manual mode (Tool attaching and detaching are executed manually by operator)
This function makes it possible to switch between automatic mode and manual mode by the
soft key. If the mode is switched frequently, the mode is switched more easily than switching
by the parameter.
1.1.2 Details
Automatic mode and manual mode are prepared for the Tool attaching/detaching operation by
the tool attachment/detachment function.

MODE EXPLANATION
Automatic
mode
When attaching or detaching of tool is executed. input/output
of the signals are performed.
The machine changes the tool automatically with the signals.
Manual node When attaching or detaching of tool is executed. input/output
of the signals are not performed.
Tool changing is executed manually by operator.
The mode is selected by setting the parameter No.13204#1,2 in the tool
attachment/detachment function.
When tool attaching or detaching is performed, this function makes it possible to switch
between automatic mode and manual mode by the soft key. Therefore, in case of mode
switching, the parameter setting is not necessary. In case that mode is switched frequently,
this function is useful.
Note
The optional function of tool attachment/detachment management
function is required for this function.
