12. GRAPHICS FUNCTION
661
The dynamic graphic drawing function allows you to display a machining
movement path without having to performing actual machine operation.
When performing dynamic graphic drawing, you need not actually
operate the machine. Before starting to draw a path, however, you must
select MEM mode using the mode switch on the machine operator’s panel
and release start lock, interlock, and the like, thereby setting conditions
that could start actual NC operation of the machine.
Graphic parameters
The graphic parameter setting procedure for dynamic graphic drawing is
the same as that for graphic display described in Section 12.1.
When you press the function key
CUSTOM
GRAPH
and then the [GRAPH] soft key,
the graphic screen appears. When you press the [OPRT] soft key on this
screen, the soft keys for dynamic graphic drawing appear.
To draw a machining program path by dynamic graphic drawing, you
must select MEM mode using the mode switch on the machine operator’s
panel and release start lock, interlock, and the like, thereby setting
conditions that could start actual NC operation of the machine.
1 [EXEC]
Pressing the [EXEC] soft key starts drawing. Drawing continues up
to the M02 or M30 block of a machining program.
When drawing is started while the single–block switch on the
machine operator’s panel is on, a single–block stop is made after
one–block drawing.
2 [STOP]
During drawing started by pressing the [EXEC] or [PROCES] soft
key, you can press the [STOP] soft key to make a single–block stop.
To resume drawing, press the [EXEC] or [PROCES] soft key again.
3 [PROCES]
When you start drawing by pressing the [PROCES] soft key, a
single–block stoop is made at the M00 or M01 block of a machining
program upon the execution of that block.
To resume drawing, press the [EXEC] or [PROCES] soft key again.
4 [HEAD]
Pressing the [HEAD] soft key locates the start of a machining
program.
This soft key is operative when drawing stops.
5 [ERASE]
Pressing the [ERASE] soft key clears the screen.
